I have received a few emails recently asking me about my website hosting service provider so I thought that I should write up a page about it.
When I decided to move the Bicycle Touring 101 website to it's own domain I did a bit of research into what was available. My work experience has included a few occasions when I needed to look into the same thing for a business or an employer so I already knew what I wanted.
For current pricing you should check out Yowling's webpage but my pricing worked out to be $7.81 CDN per month including applicable taxes provided that I signed on for a two year term. That price includes the cost of registering one domain.

In the process of developing this website I have been online at all hours of the day and night. I haven't yet experienced any problems or technical hiccups. I also haven't received any emails or comments from the website's readers about technical issues.
Reliability is important to me so it was nice to learn about their backup generators and multiple internet connections.
Technical support is something that you can only test over time. During the past month I have asked numerous questions and in each case the reply has come quickly and been technically correct. Even better is that the replies have been accompanied by a cheerful willingness to help out.
Although Yowling offers a 90 day money back policy I don't expect to be using it!
I mentioned additional services above. Yowling helps you to register additional domains and provides assistance with graphical work as well as other services that I haven't looked into yet.
Would I recommend it to others?
I already have! So far I am very pleased with the service and I have no reason to expect to be disappointed in the future.

Sigh, it's truly a cynical world that we live in isn't it!
The answer is no. No reduction in price, no free months or any other discount, kickback etc. When a company is doing a fine job I really don't mind saying so.
