Sometimes people like to ease into Bicycle Touring slowly and have an experienced bicycle tourist show them the ropes so to speak. This is actually quite natural since bicycle touring is usually perceived as something radiacally different to try in this day and age.

Luckily there are indeed bicycle touring classes offered to fill this need. Keep in mind that although I implied in the first paragraph that these classes are only for beginners in reality they are not, usually there are tips and tricks offered that can help even the veteran cyclist with thousands of miles under their wheels.

Often these classes will include information about the different ways you can bicycle tour including loaded/self-contained bicycle touring. The loaded touring classes also seem to discuss camping gear, bicycle equipment and if you are lucky they also include at least one story from the teacher's bicycle touring background.

The rest of this page will be a listing of bicycle touring classes including their initial class time and contact web site. I encourage you to follow up with the various resources if you are looking for such a class but the date shown is past. They may be able to tell you about the next upcoming class and hopefully you will remind them to drop me a note so that I can update this page with that information.

If you know of another class being offered please contact me so that it too can be added to this page.
